Progress Is The Objective! (3 Daily Wins!)
Let’s start with the basics. I have learned that as long as progress occurs, people remain engaged and inspired. The challenge occurs when someone is stagnant or unsure if their decisions are moving them close to their ultimate destination.
To assist you, here is a simple daily behavior that I adhere to and recommend you begin ASAP. It's called the 3 Daily Wins and it involves completing 3 simple tasks per day, one from each of the three categories. By doing so, no matter what else happens that day (bad day, lost sale, someone resigns, investor declines, legal issue, money stress, feeling out of sync, etc), you can take comfort in some momentum and remain upbeat.
Exercise: Every day, simply complete one of the suggested activities from each group (feel free to make up your own). There are 24 hours per day, so this total exercise seeks about 1-2 hours a day of your time. Trust me, it's worth it!
Physical Win: Exercise For 60 minutes…Walk 8-10,000 steps or swim, bike, gym workout, racquet sports, pilates class, etc
Mental Win: For 60 minutes…read, listen or watch an educational podcast, learn something new, increase your social circle, etc
Spiritual Win: For 30 minutes…Pray, charitable contribution of time or money, donate time to a worthy cause, assist another to improve, email, text, call or visit someone in need
The best people I know complete 3/3 every day. Others do ⅓ or ⅔…
The benefit of this daily commitment is that you gain more energy, more intellect and feel more purposeful.
It also provides important structure in a lifestyle (entrepreneurship?) which is very often chaotic. Onward!
